Lizzie Carson
Executive Director | Joined TLC in 2020 20+ years in Early Childhood Education Lizzie holds a BA degree in Sociology with a minor in Child and Family Development from UNC Charlotte. She served as a mentor to early child care programs in the community through the Knight Foundation, a Team Leader for the Incredible Years parent training, and worked in early childhood programing and administration. She joins Team TLC as our first Program Director. She is a strong advocate for children and families and is passionate about best practice in the field of early childhood. Pamela Gray, CFRE
Development Director | 2003-2010 & 2018-present Pam has a deep interest in creating equity by giving all children an opportunity to succeed in school. This drive first led her to first join TLC in 2003. She stayed connected through the years and returned to lead TLC development and communications in 2018. Pam has a BS degree in Communication and Media Studies from Illinois State University and has earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential. Seeing the children of TLC flourish and grow is a continual inspiration. Dr. Chastity Richey, DSW, MSW, LSW
Family Success Navigator | Joined TLC in 2023 Dr. Chastity Richey is TLC’s first-ever Licensed Social Worker and Family Success Navigator. Chastity is fulfilling TLC’s mission to provide deeper services to the families of Grier Heights through TLC’s Preschool and Family Success programs. Supporting, guiding, educating, coaching, and empowering parents have always been integral to our mission. A successful student needs an engaged parent, every step of the way. Chastity is here to serve families as they build their social networks and move toward increased social mobility, self-sufficiency, and self-efficacy. Chastity brings over 20 years of Social Work experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), which aligns perfectly with her Family Success Navigator role. [email protected] 704.377.8076 x209 |

Maria Cuenca, Teacher and Family Spanish-English Liaison
Maria serves as a teacher in classrooms as needed, and facilitates communication with TLC families who are primarily Spanish-speakers.

Maggie Gilmore, Program Specialist
In 2022, Maggie joined TLC to support our ambitious program goals. Her cooperative nature, love of children, and knowledge of early education theory and practice makes her a greatly valued member of Team TLC. Maggie is a graduate of Appalachian State University and recently earned her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
Maria serves as a teacher in classrooms as needed, and facilitates communication with TLC families who are primarily Spanish-speakers.
