Throughout the school year, TLC offers many meaningful volunteer opportunities, and we invite you to learn more!  If you are an individual, a corporate team, a school group, a Bible Study, or a community volunteer, we have a place for you here.

We welcome volunteers to become Reading Buddies (enhance early literacy and a love of books), Playground Buddies (maximize creative play in our wonderful outdoor classroom/playground), Front Desk Volunteers, or to organize/donate to August School Uniform Drives, Family Success Meeting Refreshments, Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Drives, and many more roles that enrich our program for TLC's enrolled children and parents.  CLICK HERE TO SEND US AN EMAIL WITH QUESTIONS OR TO LEARN MORE!

These photos are from some of our volunteer activities so far this year!  To start the year,  Leslie Teddy and Wendy Kenney held a fall centerpiece workshop for TLC moms, Charlotte Country Day School hosts a carnival for TLC each fall, TLC's Fall Festival at Halloween in our playground, Whiteside Properties worked with the children on a special Valentine's Day craft, and we ALWAYS have grateful hearts for our amazing friends and volunteers!

​ABOUT TLC

The Learning Collaborative is a comprehensive preschool program with hands-on involvement between teachers, students, families, patrons and the community. TLC has earned a Five-Star license from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education.  The Five-Star rating is determined through a rigorous application process and bi-annual audits. Five-Star programs are high quality and effective in preparing children for success in school.  Many factors are taken into consideration, such as program/curriculum standards, degreed educators and administrators, environment, health and safety, and more. We are proud to serve families of the Grier Height's neighborhood.

The Learning Collaborative is Charlotte's only tuition-free, high quality Early Education and Family Success program.
