School’s In

Preparing young children for success in school is the mission of The Learning Collaborative in Charlotte, North Carolina. That success, in turn, helps them build the foundation for a productive and rewarding life. Our students come from fragile economic circumstances and unstable communities.  Because of this, we embrace the entire family in a holistic and empowering way, working together with teachers and community partners toward a shared goal; success in life through education.

On Thursday, June 11, The Learning Collaborative celebrated the class of 2015! Our young graduates completed their Pre Kindergarten year in grand fashion at the beautiful Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Parent, Community Supporters, sponsors and friends joined our Pre- Kindergarten graduates as they entertained the audience and received their well-deserved Diplomas! The keynote speech was delivered by WTVI’s Beverly Dorn-Steele, a long time friend and supporter of The Learning Collaborative. PNC Bank employees volunteered their time to assist with everything from parking to hospitality!

We wish the class of 2015 the absolute BEST as they continue their journey into “..Big School..” CONGRATULATIONS!
